Coverack April 2023 Update

CS2000 Coverack April  2023 Update

Watch this CS2000 Space!

We’ve had a busy time recently here at CS2000 getting ready for the year ahead. The ‘What’s On!’ guide has gone to print, and Dan has done an excellent job once again coordinating all the adverts and diary dates for the rest of the season. It’s a really handy booklet that’s funded by local business adverts and some sales in The Old Mill Shop and Coverack Village Stores. Thank you to all who have supported it. Evie Glavin won the photo competition for the front cover. Well done Evie for capturing a different perspective of the harbour and an event that really sums up Coverack!

We have been into Coverack School three times this term. We provided the pancakes for pancake day, a brilliant Mother’s day card workshop and our traditional Easter Egg hunt at the end of term! The PTFA and CS2000 have joined forces to sort out the school garden and operation polytunnel is now well underway! A strong team of volunteers cleared away the old concrete slabs and picked up the donated polytunnel frame. A good push of work over the Easter Holidays should have it up and running for the beginning of the summer term. A very exciting project indeed that will serve as a space for the children to grow both plants and minds!

Thank you to all the volunteer helpers, if anyone would like to volunteer for any of the upcoming events, please let me know. We have a great core of volunteers but there is always room for more.

CS2000 was set up to raise funds for additional space at Coverack School, and has continued to organise events in the village, promote Coverack and support our small village School. It also maintains the Coverack Village Cornwall website, Coverack Village Facebook and Instagram pages and provides a monthly update of What’s On in Coverack.

Evie Galvin’s winning photo! Alt text- a photo of the harbour taken from the safety boat. There are a number of swimmers racing back to the harbour.
