What’s On in Coverack in March 2023.
CS2000 would like to thank everyone who has volunteered with, donated or in any way supported Space 2000. It is very much appreciated. CS2000 continues to work to support Coverack School, and this month we’re excited to be visiting Coverack School to run a Mother’s Day Craft Workshop on 16th March.

Coverack Village Stores: The team at Coverack Village Stores are working hard keeping everyone supplied with essentials and much more, open 7 days a week.
Post Office services in Coverack are Monday and Thursday from 14:00 – 16:00 in St Peter’s Hall.

Wed 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th Mar. Quiz Night at The Paris. 8pm. Come and test your brain power!
Wed 1st Soup and Cake Lunch. Lambeage Hall, drop in between 12 and 2pm. Soup, Bread, Cake, Tea, and Coffee. Games to play and book swap. Everyone is welcome (all ages). Pay by Donation.
Tues 7th Coverack Film Night. Lambeage Hall, 7 for 7.30pm. Where The Crawdads Sing (2022). Drama/thriller. Cert 15. Starring Daisy Edgar -Jones, Taylor John Smith.
The story of Kya, an abandoned girl who raised herself in the dangerous marshlands of North Carolina.

Fri 10th Julian Gaskell & His Ragged Trousered Philanthropists. Lambeage Hall, 7 for 7.30pm. Performance by a Cornish acoustic trio: Julian Gaskell (Bash Street Theatre, Rogue Theatre), on piano, accordion, and drums; Thomas Sharpe on banjo, bass, and bouzouki; Cally Gibson on violin and viola.

Fri 17th Irish Coffee Morning. Lambeage Hall, 10am-12 noon. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Lambeage Hall, with a quiz, facts, human bingo, cakes and all things Irish!Free entry.
Coverack’s Easter Pisky Trail. Sat 18th March through until Tues 25th April 4pm finish
Buy your Pisky Trail at any point between these dates and follow the Pisky Trail to find all the hiding piskies! Leave the piskies where they are and write down their names, in the correct order, to spell out the mystery Pisky phrase! Enjoy exploring Coverack! All profits from the Pisky trails go towards Coverack Space 2000 community group, to help run events and activities in Coverack village and to support Coverack school. £2.50 per trail; available from The Old Mill Shop, Coverack Village Stores
Tues 28th Coverack Film Night. Lambeage Hall, 7 for 7.30pm. Ordinalia – The Film. Cert. PG. Key scenes from the Ordinalia trilogy in St. Just’s Plen-an-Gwari, the original medieval venue for these medieval Cornish plays.

What’s On in Coverack In 2023: Work has begun on CS2000’s programme of events for the coming year, and we hope to publish our What’s On Guide around Easter.

Coverack Space 2000 Community Group: This group was set up to raise funds for additional space at Coverack School, and has continued to organise events in the village, promote Coverack and support the School. It also maintains the Coverack Village Cornwall website, Coverack Village Facebook and Instagram pages and provides a monthly update of What’s On in Coverack. CS2000 actively supported the recent campaign to keep all of Coverack School open and will support funding for wrap-around care for Coverack School children.
The What’s On in Coverack 2023 booklet will be published in early spring, and is delivered to every household in Coverack. Please consider donating to CS2000 if you appreciate receiving this booklet, either through a collection pot in The Old Mill Shop or through the Pay Pal button on our website: Coverack Village Cornwall. What’s On booklets can also be bought from Coverack Village Stores.
The sale of second hand books from the box outside Coverack Village Stores helps raise funds for CS2000 – thank you so much to everyone who has supported.
