Coverack 2023 Update

Last Months News

January is just as busy a month as any other time of the year in Coverack. The Lambeage, as always, had a busy and successful timetable of events. The Paris quiz is going strong, and they brought back their infamous FREE sausage and mash night on Tuesdays! The last one’s on the 7th of Feb, contact the pub for details.

January is the month for the Arc of Attrition 100-mile race. It starts from Coverack and finishes in Porthtowan along the coast path. It is a huge event that sees hundreds of runners nervously gather in the north corner car park! A huge well done to the organizers at Mud Crew for hosting such a massive and complex event! Race winners were Gavin Dale in a time of 19h56m58s and Emma Stuart with a record breaking 21hr22m16s. Emma knocked 3hr58m58s off the previous record and this was her first ultra-marathon event!  Congratulations to all who took part, what an achievement!

CS2000 was set up to raise funds for additional space at Coverack School and has continued to organise events in the village, promote Coverack and support our small village school. It also maintains the Coverack Village Cornwall website, Coverack Village Facebook and provides a monthly update of What’s On in Coverack.
