A new lights feature for 2019 commemorates the great contribution made by Ben Roskilly to village life over many years. It was unveiled after the customary meal in the Paris Hotel, attended by thirty members of the Coverack Christmas Lights team, after putting up the tree. It was hidden under a tarpaulin, and only revealed after the meal, standing in the garden of the Paris Hotel.

Standing with Ben Roskilly are John Tripconey and George Watters who have also been involved with the Christmas lights for many years.
