What’s On in Coverack in January 2023
CS2000 would like to wish all their supporters a Happy New Year, and thank everyone who volunteered, donated or in any way supported Space 2000 in 2022. Your help really is very much appreciated.
Essential services in Coverack:
Coverack Village Stores: The team at Coverack Village Stores are working hard keeping everyone supplied with essentials and much more, open 7 days a week.
Post Office services in Coverack are Monday and Thursday 14:00 – 16:00 in St Peter’s Hall.
Events for January 2023:
Wed 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th Jan& 1st Feb. Quiz Night at The Paris. 8pm. Come and test your brain power!
Tues 10th Coverack Film Night. Lambeage Hall, 7 for 7.30pm. Mrs Harris Goes to Paris (2022). A lovely feel-good story starring Lesley Manville and Isabele Huppert and based on a novel by Paul Gallico. Mrs Harris, a widowed char lady in post-war London, falls in love with a Dior dress and decides she must have one of her own. Tickets £5 available on the door, or online at https://www.lambeagehall.org.uk/events. Doors and bar open at 7pm. Film starts at 7.30pm. Ice creams and snacks available.
Sat 14th Circus Bezercus. Lambeage Hall, 7 for 7.30pm.The long awaited return of the excellent Circus Bezercus. Fun for all the family.Tickets Adults £10/ Child £5/ Family (2 adults & 2 children) £28. Tickets available on the door, at Coverack Stores, or online at:https://www.lambeagehall.org.uk/events
Wed 18th Soup and Pudding Lunch. Lambeage Hall, drop in any time between midday and 2pm. A fortnightly event during the winter months. Choice of 2 soups; Bread; Cake; Tea or Coffee. Everyone welcome (all ages). Payment by donation. Games to play and book swap available.
Wed 1st Feb Soup and Pudding Lunch. Lambeage Hall, drop in between 12 and 2pm. See above for more details.
Events in 2023: Work will begin shortly on CS2000’s programme of events for the coming year. We hope to run First Aid Courses in winter/early spring– please contact coordinator@coverack.org.uk to express an interest.

Sun 8th – 0930 – Morning Prayer – Rev John Ough
Sun 15th – 0930 – Holy Communion – Rev John Ough
Sun 22nd – 0930 – Morning Prayer – Rev Geoff Davies – an opportunity to meet a new member the clergy team in the Deanery.
Sun 29th – 1100 – St. Keverne Church – No service at St Peter’s; all churches in the Benefice to worship at St. Keverne with Rev. John Ough and Rev Deidre Mackrill
Coverack Lunch Club Announcement – Lunch club will start on Weds 25th January, and 11th January as stated.

Coverack Space 2000 Community Group: This group was set up to raise funds for additional space at Coverack School, and has continued to organise events in the village, promote Coverack and support the School. It also maintains the Coverack Village Cornwall website, Coverack Village Facebook and Instagram pages and provides a monthly update of What’s On in Coverack. CS2000 actively supported the recent campaign to keep all of Coverack School open and will support funding for wrap-around care for Coverack School children.
The What’s On in Coverack 2023 booklet will be published in early spring, and is delivered to every household in Coverack. Please consider donating to CS2000 if you appreciate receiving this booklet, either through a collection pot in The Old Mill Shop or through the Pay Pal button on our website: Coverack Village Cornwall. What’s On booklets can also be bought from Coverack Village Stores.
The sale of second hand books from the box outside Coverack Village Stores helps raise funds for CS2000 – thank you so much to everyone who has supported.
