Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 2022: Programme 

Saturday 2nd April

Fund raising quiz 7pm St Peters, Hall bring a raffle prize, £10 per table of 4.

Thursday 7th April

Open organising meeting, 19.00, Lambeage Hall All clubs to attend. Grant decision 1st April !

Monday 9th May 

1000 – Village clean up, mustering at the telephone box (with equipment /tools).

Friday 27th May 

Set up School ‘Queens Jubilee’ project displayed in St Peters Hall, before half term break. 

Flags and Bunting through the Village 

Monday 30th May 

Closing date to submit an application form for the House / Boat Decoration Competition. Entry forms available from the village shop 

Thursday 2nd June 2022. 

Closing date for the Art Club Competition; (postcard size painting) – (St Peters Hall) – Postcard size paintings for sale over the weekend 

Closing date for the ‘Writing Club’ Competition – (St Peters Hall)  

Jubilee Photo Display Brenda’s Shop Window all Weekend 

Church open to the Public all weekend for the Flower Displays

11.00 – 17.00 every day Photo Display Fisherman’s Rest 

1200 – School’s Queens Jubilee project and Writers and Arts Club projects open in St Peters Hall 

1300 – Registration for the Sand Castle competition on Mill Beach. 

Free Film Night Lambeage Hall – 1947 ‘Born of the Sea’ + short films of Coverack over the years 

Friday 3rd June 2022

St Peters Hall Closed to the Public for pudding Competition between 0900 – 1000 for judging. Puddings to be in St Peter’s Hall by 09.00.  Open for viewing at 12.00

1200 – Bay Hotel Barbeque + Music All welcome.

Beach Sports – and Red Barrows display team, Mill Beach 

Saturday 4th June 2022

10.00 Parade of Boats (Coverack Boats Only)- Started by Robin Hobson 

1200 – Set up Pageant on the Bay Hotel Lawn.  Children dancing on the Bay Hotel Upper lawn 

1300 – Queens Pageant parade on Bay Hotel Lawn; Judged by nominated Guests from the Hotel, on completion parade through the village to the harbour. Prize giving by the Pageant Queen and Queen’s Consort at the Fisherman’s Rest. 

15.00 Street Party on Harbour, bring your own food, takeaway food from The Paris & Lifeboat House.

Evening: ‘Live’ entertainment on the Harbour 

Sunday 5th June 2022. “The Finale’ 

1400 – Carolaire on the Battery. Led by the Reverend John –Ough. All welcome.

On Completion: Sports on the Battery: Running races, Welly throwing, and more!

Prize giving by the Pageant Queen and Queens Consort on completion. After prize-giving ‘Tree Planting’ and cake cutting by village elder(Dr Ian Wort) on the Battery

Followed by village Street Party. Bring your own food, bar in the hall open, wear Red, White and Blue. 

This event is organised by the Coverack Jubille committee in conjunction with St Keverne Parish Council.
