Coverack February 2022 update

Coverack February 2022 update.

We would like to thank all those people who are continuing to keep our little village and its occupants as safe as possible. Please support the small independent businesses in Coverack and follow any safety guidelines that they have in place. Please contact individual businesses about their opening times. Thank you to everyone who has supported Coverack Space 2000 during 2021, and to all those who have volunteered for us. Without your support, we wouldn’t be able to run these popular community events or offer financial support for additional activities at Coverack School. Essential services in Coverack:

Coverack Village Stores: The team at Coverack Village Stores are working hard keeping everyone supplied with essentials and much more, open 7 days a week.

Post Office services in Coverack are Monday and Thursday 14:00 – 16:00 in St Peter’s Hall. Tues 1st Beach Clean Day. Anyone can help out, any time of day. Low tide is around 11:44 so a launch time beach clean will work best. Please recycle or place collected rubbish by the dog waste bin at North corner

Cornish Pisky Pals: Friday 11th –Monday 28th Feb. Cornish Pisky Pal’s Half Term Pisky Trail, Coverack Village. Trails available from Coverack Village Stores during usual opening hours. £2.50 per trail. New phrase and new pisky hiding places for each holiday that we run a Pisky Trail! This is a great way to explore Coverack!

First aid: Big thanks to Dan and Martyn for organising last month’s First Aid courses! I personally found it a very informative and educational day. There are limited places available for the next course on the 19th Feb. Please email Dan on the coordinator email address if you’re interested. If there is more interest Dan will look into further dates.

Coverack Space 2000 Community Group:  This group was set up to raise funds for additional space at Coverack School, and has continued to organize events in the village, promote Coverack and support Coverack School. It also maintains the Coverack Village Cornwall website, Coverack Village Facebook and Instagram pages and provides a monthly update of What’s On in Coverack. CS2000 actively supported the recent campaign to keep all of Coverack School open and will support funding for wrap-around care for Coverack School children.

The What’s On in Coverack 2022 booklet will be published this spring and is delivered to every household in Coverack. Please consider donating to CS2000 if you appreciate receiving this booklet, either through a collection pot in The Old Mill Shop or through the Pay Pal button on our website: Coverack Village Cornwall. What’s On booklets can also be bought from Coverack Village Stores.

The sale of second-hand books from the box outside Coverack Village Stores helps raise funds for CS2000 – thank you so much to everyone who has supported.
