During these very strange times Coverack changes very little, although understandably quieter than normal. We are continuing on as best we can; whether we are working, furloughed, home schooling, retired, our lives have all changed but we appreciate what we have in Coverack and thank those who have helped to keep us safe by staying away, even when they miss Coverack so much. We know that there are lots of you around the country and around the world who miss Coverack. This is very clear as our Coverack Village Facebook page has just reached an impressive 3000 likes! Thank you!
Some things carry on as usual and we are lucky enough to be enjoying some early signs of spring.
The combination of the East wind and very low fish prices has meant that we are left with the very unusual sight of not a single boat in Coverack harbour!
Very few community activities can be actively encouraged at the moment but if you are lucky enough to be near the beach please do carry out a 2 minute beach clean. Removing even the smallest bits of rubbish really does make a difference. CS2000 has promoted and organised beach cleans since 2007 and since that time we are pleased to say we have noticed a dramatic reduction in the rubbish on Coverack beach. Hopefully we can all work together to continue reducing the amount of rubbish on our beach and in the village.
We are all looking forward to a time when there is some normality. In the meantime, here are a few photos of Coverack, quietly waiting for normality to return.
