Firework Night Thank Yous

Thank you to Rob Cheetham for this lovely photo of the fireworks over the church.

Firework church

There are so many people we need to thank for helping our firework night run smoothly.

Many thanks for the kind donations from local businesses: particular thanks to The Bay Hotel, for so much financial and practical support. Thanks also to local businesses that donated towards the cost of the Fireworks: The Paris, Porthgwara Nursing Home, Heath Farm, Archie’s Loft, Penmarth Campsite & Elizabeth’s.A number of local businesses donated in a practical way including Little Trevothen Caravan Park, Harbour Lights Cafe, Coverack Village stores, The Old Mill Shop, Penmarth House B&B and Lizard Computing. We appreciate all the donations made by businesses and individuals and those who attended and supported the event by buying refreshments, glow sticks, raffle tickets and putting money in the buckets. CS2000 bank roll this community event, purchasing the Fireworks in July so that we gain a large discount – we then aim to raise enough money each year to cover the costs so that we can run the event another year. We need to raise over £2000 to achieve this, for a small village this is a lot to find and we are grateful of all support.

With out a massive team of helpers Coverack’s Firework Night wouldn’t run; from cleaning the BBQ to putting up the marquee, chefs, running stalls, parking marshals, counting money and lots more jobs help this event to continue to run. The Fireworks are purchased from Kimbolton Fireworks, Trevor Roberts is in charge of the Firework Team and has a number of helpers who set the Fireworks off from the harbour – the team are all local volunteers. St Keverne Fire brigade attend in case of any incident and we really appreciate this support.
