Art in Coverack

Coverack is well represented when it comes to art. A number of professional artists live and work here or nearby, and the village also boasts a thriving art society.

The Coverack Art Society, formerly known as the Coverack Art Club, was founded in 1972.
We meet at Lambeage Hall on Mondays from September to June, from 10.30am to 3.30pm and participants are free to come for full sessions or attend part of the day.
We have regular workshop days at Lambeage Hall with visiting artists, usually once a month. These take the form of a practical demonstration, followed by an afternoon session when participants can try out new techniques and styles, guided by the visiting artist.
The workshops are very popular and visitors can join in at a cost of £10.
We have some experienced artists among our members but newcomers of all abilities are invited to join us and offered every encouragement. The kettle is always on the go and participants bring their own lunch and a microwave is available to heat food.
The hall is heated and cosy, even in the coldest weather and our welcome is warm.
The society arranges regular exhibitions locally, a chance for our members to show the work created at our sessions.
